It’s great to make plans before your baby is born, but be flexible.
I planned to breast feed, but after the first few days couldn’t stand it and started formula feeding.
I wasn’t going to co-sleep, but after the first week gave in because it was the only way to get my daughter to sleep.
Go with the flow. Every baby and every person is different, what works for someone else may not work for you.
The first couple of weeks with your new baby is stressful enough without worrying about following your pre-birth plans to a tee. So don’t feel bad if things don’t go how you planned, and ignore those who would judge you for your parenting choices. All that matters is that both you and your baby are happy and healthy.
