You know feed prices are stupid high when oats are the cheapest thing at the feed mill. I went in and said I needed oats for my pigs to slim them down. The guy told me to just feed them less, but I tried that, that’s what led to the escapee pigs. Feed mill guy was telling me that oats were awful expensive to be feeding to pigs when feed mill girl stopped him to say that whole oats are actually the cheapest thing they have right now.

100lbs bag of whole oats is $16.00 while the same size bag of hog feed is $21.40 so I’m actually saving money feeding them oats. Cool.
