casualstroll:
Did they think that that wouldn’t happen? That’s what happens when you live in a country that doesn’t “believe” in evolution.
I believe I have already reblogged a post about this, but I had to reblog this for the above comment.

Organic Agriculture May Be Outgrowing Its Ideals →
amongflora-and-fauna:
“While the original organic ideal was to eat only local, seasonal produce, shoppers who buy their organics at supermarkets, from Whole Foods to Walmart, expect to find tomatoes in December and are very sensitive to price. Both factors stoke the demand for imports. Few areas in the United States can farm organic produce in the winter without resorting to energy-guzzling...

I can’t listen to audio books.
I’ve tried because I have a half hour drive to work and a 8 hour drive if I want to see my husband, so I thought audio books would be a good way to pass the time and stay awake.
But it takes me twice as long to comprehend spoken words as normal people. I watch most tv shows with subtitles because I can read faster than I comprehend speech.
So when I...

This will not be an easy column to write. I am about to put down 1,200 words in support of a book that starts by attacking me and often returns to this sport.
